Designing weekly habits in individual learning journeys just got a lot easier.

You can now control which weekday activities are sent on, making it simpler to design onboarding and learning flows that reinforce consistent weekly routines—without complex mental math or fragile anchor date setups.

As a learning designer, you can choose what matters most for each activity:

• Exact timing (a specific number of days before or after the start date), or
• A specific weekday (for example, the first or second Friday after the start date)

This flexibility makes it possible to start learning journeys on day one—while still ensuring that habit-based activities land on the right weekday.

• Clear control over which weekday an activity is sent on
• Easier visualization of schedules in the timeline
• Reduced risk of activities landing on unintended days
• Better support for building weekly habits in onboarding and long-running journeys

Clearer Manager Emails with Employee Name Visibility

Scheduled emails to managers just became clearer—and far more personal.

When managers are responsible for several employees, emails referring vaguely to “your employee(s)” can easily cause confusion and frustration. To remove this friction, we’ve introduced a new, dedicated block in the Email Editor that clearly shows the name(s) of the employee(s) each manager email is about.

This block is available only in emails scheduled to managers and is designed to handle both single and multiple employees gracefully—without requiring admins to write copy that works for every possible scenario.

We’ve improved how individual schedules are handled in Knowly, making it possible to edit anchor points, adjust schedules for existing participants, and clearly preview individual timelines. This removes several limitations that previously required careful explanations — or avoided use altogether.

These updates are designed to give admins confidence when working with individual learning journeys, without the risk of ending up in a difficult setup after launch.

Online Reports are perfect for sharing insights with stakeholders who want up-to-date information but don’t need to work inside Knowly.

While this update doesn’t directly speed up content creation, it removes friction in a critical phase of customer projects: setup and rollout. That means faster launches, less admin work, and a more scalable way to involve managers from the start.

Internal Comments for Admins

We’ve added a new way to collaborate in Knowly – right where the work happens.

You can now add internal comments directly on slides, messages, and other elements in your learning journeys. Perfect for capturing thoughts in the moment, giving feedback, or working together as a team.

This makes it possible to:

• Capture thoughts right where they occur
• Mention colleagues with @name (they’ll get an email with a direct link)
• Keep feedback and ideas in context — no more separate to-do lists or screenshots

Comments can be added at multiple levels, including entire learning journeys, individual slides, and highlighted text. Use the comment overview to navigate quickly and stay on top of what needs to be done. Internal comments are only visible to admins.
